A collaborative project bringing together children from two primary schools in Reading's diverse Newtown community to find points of connection.
Workshop 1: Making new friends through drama
Collaborated with a drama specialist to introduce the children from both schools to concepts of positive relationship building, team work and positive conflict resolution.
Workshop 2: Maps
The children found points of connection through mapping their daily journeys to school, as well as mapping the journeys many of them had taken to settle in Reading.
Workshop 3: Wind Power
The children discovered they had a natural resource of their own: wind power.
Workshop 4: Pedal Power
The children discovered they could power electronic equipment with their own pedal power.
