Reading weaver Christine Brewster met with Zimbabwean Shiela to talk about their different methods of weaving in preparation for the event. There were animated discussions about the similarities between Zimbabwean and British weaving techniques.

They agreed that a great cultural cross-over would be to teach weaving with recycled magazines and electrical wire.

Christine gave her time freely to local residents and students from Reading University for this half day event.

The morning finished with my signature pumpkin soup and bread.
